There are more than 150,000 international students who go to Canada every year to study. Canadian universities and colleges are respected worldwide for their high quality of education. Tuition fees for international students in Canada, and the cost of living, are among the lowest in the world. Eligible students can gain valuable Canadian work experience through off campus employment.
Items below must be included with your Application Form:
- 2 recent passport photos for yourself and every accompanying family member. Signed, dated and taken in the past 6 months.
- Evidence of sufficient funds to cover travel, tuition fees, return transportation for yourself and your accompanying family members and living expenses in Canada.
- Letter of acceptance from your educational institution in Canada. You must provide details of the course title and duration, level of study, tuition fees and start date.
- Study Plan - please submit a one page study plan which answers the following questions and includes any other information relevant to the processing of your application:
- Why do you wish to study in Canada in the program for which you have been accepted?
- What is your overall educational goal?
- Why are you not pursuing a similar program in your country of residence/citizenship?
- What research have you done into studies in your country of residence/citizenship?
- How will this program enhance your employment opportunities in your country of residence/citizenship?
- What ties do you have to your country of residence/citizenship?
- If it has been more than 2 years since you have left full-time education, please provide your C.V. (resumé).
- In the case of a minor applicant, what are your reasons for studying in Canada? What is your parents'/guardians' immigration status in their current country of residence?
- Photocopy of passport ID page for you and all accompanying family members.
- Curriculum vitae / Resume (if you are over the age of 20)
- Custodianship documents - for students under the age of 18 who will not be accompanied by either parent.
- Custody documents or notarised permission from the other parent if a minor is travelling with only one birth parent.
- An original police certificate (or UK Disclosure) and a personal explanation of events leading to the conviction(s) if you or any accompanying family members has a criminal conviction.
- Notarised common-law declaration and supporting documentation showing that you have been in a common-law relationship with your accompanying partner for at least one year.
